Find out why a change is not applying

My rule is enabled but nothing changes

Check the page origin, full request URL, method and resource type in Match. Then check whether the rule’s group is paused. Mocks, delays, failures and redirect/header combinations need a running tab session.

Start the session from the target page’s Popup, then reproduce the request. Merely selecting a saved rule or connecting the website SDK does not start interception.

CORS still fails

Enable CORS repair explicitly; starting a tab session alone only captures traffic and applies enabled saved rules.

Enable Allow credentials only when your page needs credentialed requests and you trust it. In a saved CORS rule, explicitly allow any custom request headers your application sends.

Firefox repairs response headers but cannot synthesize a failed preflight. If the server rejects OPTIONS, fix the server or use a suitable development endpoint. Wireflip cannot override every browser security policy.

The Inspector shows no requests

Start a session for the correct HTTP or HTTPS tab and reproduce a request after capture starts. Clear search filters and confirm the page has not navigated to another origin.

Some persistent browser rules execute before activity capture. Use DevTools Network alongside Wireflip when diagnosing those requests.

The toolbar shows OFF

Saved changes for the current site are paused by rule groups. Open the Popup and resume the relevant group. Individual switches are preserved. Resuming a group does not automatically start a tab session.

The toolbar shows an error

Open the Popup and use Retry connection. If Chrome DevTools or another extension has taken over the debugger, close the conflicting session first. Cancel connection remains available while connecting.

A Firefox mock keeps the server status

That is expected: Firefox replaces a real response body and preserves the upstream HTTP status. Choose an endpoint that returns a usable response. Chrome’s synthetic mocks can set a separate status.

Disable cache is missing or has no effect

The control is available in Chrome. It bypasses HTTP cache for the current tab; it does not bypass a service worker or clear stored data. Turning it off or stopping the session restores normal caching.

Playground cannot connect

Install and enable the extension in this browser, return to the page and select Reconnect. A connected website bridge is separate from the tab session used to apply mocks or delays.

Review and enable the draft in the workspace, then start a session for the Playground tab using Wireflip’s Popup. Return to Playground to run the probe.

I stopped a session but headers still change

Persistent saved rules can keep acting across matching tabs. Disable the saved rule or pause its group. Stop tab session resets temporary controls; it does not switch off persistent configuration.

I still need help

Open a GitHub issue with your browser, extension version and a minimal reproduction. Remove cookies, authorization headers, private URLs and response data before sharing.
